The food and drink in Barbados is the fusion of the locally produced ingredients which were locally grown and produced, mixed cultural origins, and the creativity of the Bajans, wishing to please their own impeccable palates. Simply put, theirs is a cuisine without pretenses and so much fanfare that never come short of excellent palatability and taste, thus the Bajans are perhaps one of the most dynamic and artistic gourmet in the Caribbean and in the world.

A taste of the best food and drink in Barbados is never complete without the island's favorite, the flying fish that is actually one of the country's national symbols. Flying fish is served up in almost any possible dish you could ever imagine. Yu can have it raw, with a soup, fried, or with a sauce.
